Assistant Insulation Technician

Job Description

JOB SUMMARY
Koala Insulation is an insulation contractor providing high-quality insulation services to homeowners, contractors, and property owners.

At Koala Insulation of North Indy, we are looking for hard working, skilled individuals who are eager to develop and apply their skills in ways to make a positive impact to our customers. This position within the company is expected to consistently perform high-quality insulation services on all job sites, including but not limited to homes, attics, crawlspaces and commercial properties.

DUTIES/RESPONSIBILITIES
Safety
Adheres to jobsite safety in accordance with all federal, state, and local occupational and health and safety laws. Ensures the equipment is safely driven to jobsite locations and handled in a respectful manner.

Operations
Removes and installs insulation based on specifications of each job. Follows standard operating procedures with equipment set up and operation. Completes a high quality job while maintaining efficiency. Has working knowledge of all types of insulation installation (blown-in, spray foam, and batt) and consistently performs quality checks.

Customer Service
Communicates professionally with customers. Maintains a professional image and thoroughly cleans jobsite upon completion of the job.

Other
- Continuous improvement of customer service, quality, efficiency, and safety

- Communicates any issues to the Operations Manager

- Operates with integrity

- Performs other related duties as required.

REQUIRED SKILLS/ABILITIES:
- Assists in the diagnosis and resolution of issues in the field alongside the Lead Technician

- Excellent time management

- Ability to troubleshoot, operate, and maintain equipment

- Excellent organizational skills and attention to detail

- Excellent written and verbal communication skills
Treats team, customers and equipment in a respectful manner

EDUCATION AND EXPERTISE
High school diploma/GED required

Prior experience in construction, manufacturing, landscaping, or related fields preferred.

PHYSICAL REQUIREMENTS
Prolonged periods of walking, standing, stooping, climbing, kneeling, and crawling

Working environment may be subject to high/low temperatures, confined spaces, dust/dirt, hazardous chemicals, and heights

Must be able to lift 50 pounds frequently

- 8 hour shift
- Monday to Friday
- Weekends as needed

EXPERIENCE
- Construction: 1 year (Preferred)
- Insulation Installation: 1 year (Preferred)

LICENSE/CERTIFICATION
- Driver's License (Required)
- Reliable transportation
